A whole-home project needs more than one square-foot number
Ask bidders to flag rooms with painted texture, tall ceilings, previous repairs, stains or complex fixture layouts. Those areas may require different preparation even if the contractor uses one overall area measurement.
If the home is occupied, ask how belongings will be protected and whether the work can progress by zone. For move-in projects, coordinate ceiling work before new flooring and final interior painting where practical.
Finish quality is where specialist claims should be tested
Ask to see how the contractor defines a smooth ceiling and what repair process follows removal. Confirm whether sanding, primer and final paint are included and who handles fixtures.
Older unknown texture should be evaluated appropriately before disturbance. A business focused on popcorn removal should still be able to explain its safety process clearly.
